Zach McAllister gets first Major League Baseball win

Illinois Valley Central graduate Zach McAllister earned his first Major League Baseball win Monday as the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago White Sox, 8-6, at home.

McAllister, a 2006 graduate of IVC, pitched the first game of a doubleheader.

McAllister threw six innings and struck out five batters while walking only one.

During the game, McAllister gave up two earned runs to put his season earned run average at 3.00.
